Pride, an organization whose major mission is to seek
and find ways to minimize and eventually eliminate prejudice
and hatred towards all minority groups, yet with a focus on
the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) community.
Our methodology to effect this goal is through events, activities,
forums and more; bringing folks of all walks of life in our
little burg together under a simple premise of once folks
have a chance to see us, meet us, and enjoy each other much

Fredericksburg
Pride Inc. seeks to:
Create opportunities
for integrating and promoting visibility for the lesbian,
gay, bisexual, transgender, and inter-sex community and minority
groups facing discrimination. Provide safe opportunities and
venues for people to celebrate their sexual orientation and
gender identities:
Foster the
support and development of community groups;
Promote human
and civil rights;
Work against
prejudice and discrimination;
Promote harmony
among the community-at-large;
and Foster
the economic growth of the area.
Fredericksburg
Pride Inc. Works toward these ends through activities such
as the following:
Funding,
planning and implementation of the annual Fredericksburg
Pride Festival along with other activities;
Partnering
with corporations and community groups for education, outreach
and other purposes;
Networking
resources and information by publishing an annual resource
guide, website and newsletter;
Donating
funds and staff to other community groups, when feasible.
